How to Make Crock Pot Bourbon Chicken
- Trim any excess fat off the boneless, skinless chicken thighs and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together light brown sugar, soy sauce, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, honey, red pepper flakes, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Place the chicken pieces into your slow cooker and pour the sauce over the top, ensuring every piece is coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken from pot and mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry; stir into sauce and return chicken to pot to thicken for 5-10 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
