  • 2 tbsp Ketchup adds sweetness and acidity
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce or soy sauce as an alternative
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free option
  • 2 tbsp Fruit Jam (Apricot/Apple) or honey as a substitute
  • 3 cups Water provides the base for the curry sauce

Cooking Steps
  1. Season the beef with salt and pepper, then brown it in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sauté the diced onion in the same pot until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes. Add chopped garlic and ginger, cooking for 2 more minutes.
  3. Mix in the diced potatoes and carrots, sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Return the browned beef to the pot with 3-4 cups of water, bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook on medium-low for 45-50 minutes.
  5. Stir in the curry roux until dissolved, then add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and fruit jam, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
