How to Make Asparagus Rolls with Pork
- Begin by trimming off the tough ends of the asparagus. If the spears are thick, slice them in half for easier wrapping.
- Lay a slice of thinly sliced pork diagonally on your cutting board. Place an asparagus spear at one edge of the pork and roll it tightly to encase the asparagus completely. Repeat this step for all the remaining spears.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Carefully place the rolls seam-side down in the hot pan. Cook until the bottom is golden brown (about 1 minute), then gently turn to brown the other sides, approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Mix soy sauce, mirin, and sake in a bowl and pour it over the rolls in the pan. Ensure even coating, letting them cook for another minute so they absorb those delicious flavors.
- Transfer the rolls onto a serving plate and garnish with cucumber slices for a fresh touch, if desired. Enjoy them warm!

Notes
Drizzle extra teriyaki sauce over the top for added flavor. Use pork slices that are about 2mm thick for optimal cooking.
