Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Soak dry red chillies in hot water for about 30 minutes.
  2. Blend the soaked chillies with Sichuan peppercorns and ¼ cup water until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic and ginger until they're aromatic and golden, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add chopped onions to the pan, stirring until they turn translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Incorporate the ground chili paste into the pan, stirring for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Mix in sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, bouillon, salt, black pepper, and ½ cup water, ensuring everything is well combined.
  7. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the oil begins to separate from the sauce.
  8. Cool the sauce to room temperature before storing in an airtight container.
