Method

Preparation
  1. Pat dry the beef ribs and season them generously with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the ribs for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned. (Optional)
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, liquid smoke, and minced garlic until smooth.
  4. Place the ribs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they're evenly coated. Cover securely.
  5. Cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until the ribs are tender and pull away easily from the bones.
  6. Optionally, thicken the sauce by simmering some in a saucepan for 5–10 minutes, then brush it over the ribs.
  7. For a sticky finish, broil the ribs on HIGH for 3–5 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot with extra BBQ sauce and sides like coleslaw or mashed potatoes.
