How to Make Texas Toast Sloppy Joes
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion; cook until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer on low for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Bake Garlic Texas Toast in the oven according to package instructions. Keep on baking sheet.
- Generously top each slice of toast with sloppy joe mixture. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the beef.
- Return the assembled Texas Toast Sloppy Joes to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
