  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons red chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
For the Coating
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
For Cooking
  • 2 cups oil for frying high smoke point oil like vegetable or canola
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup spring onions or cilantro chopped

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan until it reaches 350°F, or preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine marinade ingredients and mix well. Add chicken and let marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Set up your frying or baking area with either a wire rack or parchment-lined tray.
  4. Mix the coating ingredients in a separate bowl. Coat each marinated chicken piece thoroughly.
  5. If frying, cook chicken pieces in hot oil for 4–5 minutes until golden brown. For baking, cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping once.
  6. Drain cooked chicken on a rack and garnish with spring onions or cilantro before serving.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
